ULZZANG FEVER

Eoljjang, also spelled as Ulzzang or Uljjang (Korean pronunciation: [ʌl.tɕ͈äŋ]), is a popular South Korean term literally meaning "best face" or "good-looking". Originally used as a slang term, this word in the English lexicon has evolved into describing a person that follows specific style of fashion. Direct translation for the meaning Eoljjang is; Eol-: (prefix) A slang for "face" or "Based on face". It's derived from the Korean word "Uhl-Gool" "얼굴" And Jjang-: (suffix) a slang that means "best" or "the best at/in" Unlike the term "Eol-" the term "Jjang" can be used as a noun that simply means "the best".[1] Many eoljjangs have entered the Korean entertainment business and some have risen to stardom. Although the word originated in South Korea, followers of such trends could be seen in China and Japan, but can also be found in Taiwan, the United States, Canada, and Europe.[2]
